Reading Tag

Do you snack while you read? If so, favourite reading snack:
If I am quite famished! Usually a granola bar or an apple.

What is your favourite drink while reading?
A cup of hot or iced tea.

Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of writing in books horrify you?
Oh my, it horrifies me!

How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears? Laying the book flat open?
As the thought of marring a book terrifies me (and as I have so many bookmarks), I always bookmark my place.

Fiction, non-fiction, or both?
Fiction.

Are you a person who tends to read to the end of a chapter, or can you stop anywhere?
I prefer to read to the end of a chapter, but I can easily stop anywhere!

Are you the type of person to throw a book across the room or on the floor if the author irritates you?
No, no, no!

If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop and look it up right away?
Once in a while. I love to read the dictionary!

What are you currently reading?
Other than the Bible? At The Back of the North Wind and Mother Carey's Chickens.

What is the last book you bought?
I'm not at liberty to say... it is a gift. And I wouldn't want the soon-to-be-owner of the book to know what they are to receive.

Do you have a favorite time/place to read?
Bed. Or the couch. Perhaps outside.

Do you prefer series books or stand alones?
Yes.

Is there a specific book or author you find yourself recommending over and over?
No specifics. There are too many that I recommend.

How do you organize your books? (by genre, title, author’s last name, etc.)
My sister takes care of that. She organizes everything she can get her hands on.

  2. This was fun to read! I agree about being careful with books, and I assume the organizing sister of whom you speak is Beth! :)

  3. Yes, I've seen you read the dictionary... not a wholly bad book to indulge in. I love looking up all the long, old words that no one uses anymore.

And stop by my blog! I've awarded you!
