MEC Day 2: Favorite Movie

And we're off with day two! Favorite movie... this should be good. :)

Oh, yeah. This should be really good!

My favorite LOTR movie is The Two Towers. I really enjoy the battle at Helm's Deep, the last march of the Ents, how we follow the different characters around, and all things Rohan (the music is one of the best parts)!

My favorite LOTR movie? Yes, yes, yes, yes... and even though I haven't seen it yet, yes.

You just like them? Is there anything that you really, really like?

Uh, characters, settings, languages, maps, music, and other what-nots.

Oh, well, I guess we don't have to elaborate on anything else, do we? By the way, in order to write a true LOTR post, one must always listen to music from the movies! Concerning Hobbits and King of the Golden Hall are excellent choices! Just sayin'. :)

Forth Eorlingas is good, too!

30 Day Middle-Earth Challenge: Day 1

The 30 Day Middle-Earth Challenge has arrived! I am so excited to go on this adventure! :) Are you? I hope you are.

Doofus- my brother- and I are going to be doing these posts together. I hate to admit it, but my brother is more of a LOTR nerd than I am. :)

Nerd?
Yes, nerd.
Readers, anytime you see this font, that is my brother talking. The font I always use will be me. Doofus is letting me write the posts, but he is going to put his... er, intellectual comments in here and there. Got it? Good!

Let's plunge into the adventure!

Day 1: Favorite Book

My favorite LOTR book would have to be The Hobbit.

Well, I like The Hobbit, The Fellowship, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King. So, all of them.

 Oh, cool! Pictures!

Yes, well, I love the whole epic adventure and the way Tolkien describes his characters and his, and his...

And his settings? Is that what you're looking for?

No.

I'm leaving!

No, don't leave! I need you for this post! Do I have to drag you back in here?

...

Never mind. Allow me to continue. Where was I? Ah, yes! His characters and his settings.

I know you would use it! Hehehe!

Ahem! Well, would you care to tell us why you like The Hobbit and the LOTR trilogy?

Gulp. I think I left something in the oven.

No, you didn't! Tell us why you like those books.

Well, the stories are very interesting. And they are... good books?

OK, then. Do you think this post is long enough?

Are you asking me?

Yes, yes I am.

Then, no.

But I don't feel like writing anything else.

Invalid argument. You just did.

Oh bother! Never mind!

Thanks for taking the...

That's all for now, folks!

... for taking the time to try and make sense of this odd post.

School, school, school!

I began school a few weeks ago!

Homeschool, of course.

*confetti*
YAY!!!
*more confetti*

I really enjoy doing schoolwork, actually.

*shoot confetti EVERYWHERE!*

OK, I think we're good on the confetti! I'm not that excited about school.

I had to include this picture with the cupcake because, hello, it's a cupcake!

Anyhow, enough about cupcakes... on to more school-related topics. Do you want to know the list of subjects I'm taking? Well, you're going to get it whether you want to read it or not. I am taking Consumer Math, French, Grammar, American Government, Economics, British Literature, and a Bible course. There are some good subjects in there... although, government is not what I enjoy learning about.

Oh, yes. Did I mention that I am doing a tag! No? Well, I am doing a tag. :) Homeschoolers, please give me your attention! Here's the homeschool tag:
Rules:
1. You must be currently enrolled in homeschool or a homeschool graduate.
2. Answer all the questions in a blog post of your own.
3. Comment here on my blog to let me know you have done a post.

Are you currently enrolled in homeschool or are you graduated? I am currently enrolled, but this is my last year. :(

What is (or was) your favorite school subject? I love history! Very interesting to learn world history (from the beginning to the present)- what happened and how it all happened.

Do (did) you usually finish school before lunch? Yes, I usually do. But when papers and essays rear their ugly heads... bother! 'Nuff said.

Do (did) you get a recess? Nope. No recess. But if one finishes before lunch, one does not have need of a recess! :)

Snow days? Sometimes. Although, my Mama usually wants a snow day while I do not. *sheepish grin*

What subject(s) do (did) you get the best grades in? History, Geography, and French.

Are (were) you one of those students who follows (followed) a schedule, gets (got) all your assignments done on time, and does (did) the optional activities? Or do (did) you not really care how and what gets (got) done? I love to follow a schedule, I get my assignments done on time, and I do the optional work. Let's face it. I'm a nerd.

Release of Christmas at the Tittletons/Tag/Giveaway!

Kathryn, my dear CBC, of Hidden Orchards has written and published a book, Christmas at the Tittletons! And I have had the privilege of reading it! I absolutely LOVE her book! :)

Anyway!

Kathryn is hosting a tag and a giveaway to celebrate the publication of her book!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry. I'm a little excited! :)

*ahem!*

I'm good now.

Kiri Liz of Lianne Taimenlore has tagged me for this marvelous event! So, here we go with the tag...

Tag Rules:
1.  Please post ALL the rules.
2. Please answer ALL the questions.
3. Comment on this post when you have completed the tag and include a link to your tag post.
4. Tag five other people.
5. Let the people know that you tagged them.
6. Include a link back to this post.

1.  What is your favorite Historical Mystery book? I would have to say Christmas at the Tittletons. Oh. Not that book? Fine. Any Sherlock Holmes mystery. Happy?
2.  Would you rather read a Classic or a Mystery? Definitely mysteries! I love that wonderful moment when you open a book and feel like you are there solving the mystery with a spunky young lady, a rowdy gang, or a clever detective.
3.  How do you think Christmas at the Tittletons will compare to your favorite Mystery? It is so like reading the Sherlock Holmes mysteries! Sherlock may do things with a method, while Jessamine does not always, but they both have their own ways in which to try and solve a mystery.
4.  How do you think Christmas at the Tittletons will compare to your favorite Classic? Since I have too many classics that I love, I will just choose the first one that comes to mind: Peter Pan. How to compare a classic child's story to a great mystery? Uh... they're both quite captivating. :)
5.  Do you think you would like to write a Historical Mystery sometime? No. I would not like to write a historical mystery because I do not write. I'll leave the best writing to be done by the experts Kiri Liz and Kathryn. :)

Now to tag some folks:

Be sure to drop by Kathryn's blog or go and buy her book! :)
